Parent Involvement
Studies have shown that regardless of race, creed, religion, or socioeconomic status, children do better when their parents are involved in their education. Our goal is to partner with you to ensure children reach their optimal development. Throughout the year, teachers and staff will communicate with parents when volunteer opportunities are available.
VOLUNTEERING/CLASSROOM PARENTS
The school appreciates and acknowledges the role volunteers play in enhancing the program. We screen and orient volunteers to maximize their experience at the school. If you or someone you know is interested in a volunteer opportunity, please call 414-645-5337. Please note that all volunteers are required to fill out a volunteer form and authorize us to do a background check before you can work around the children.
SUBSTANCE ABUSE GUIDE FOR PARENTS
Check out the guide below for tips on how to talk to your child about drug abuse. Also check out this website for more information on keeping your child safe and communicating with them as they get older!
GUARDIANS IN ACTION (GIA)
One of our biggest goals is to build a strong and effective relationship with our families at SJA!
This upcoming school year of 2022-23 SJA is proud to announce our new GUARDIANS IN ACTION (GIA) committee. Parents who are interested in joining will have the opportunity to work with SJA’s staff to plan activities inside and outside of the classroom! Members must be committed to participating in GIA meetings and events. Meetings will be held once a month. The GIA committee will be responsible for planning:
Cultural Events
Family Experiences
Enrichment Learning Workshops for parents
If you are interested in joining please contact our Dean of Culture Mrs. Gallegos at (414)645-5337. We look forward to working with you!
