This time of year is bittersweet for the St. Joseph Academy team. At this point, in a normal year, we would be recapping and celebrating the success of our Annual Golf Outing. We would be following up with supporters and sharing how excited we were to meet them at our event. We would share information on reaching our fundraising goals. Goals that allow us to support our programs for children.
This year as we watched the COVID-19 data closely and prayed, we made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event. We did so to ensure the safety of our supporters, volunteers and staff.
It is not surprising the expressions of disappointment that we received from our supporters who enjoy this event every year, but what makes our supporters the best is their second reaction. “How can I help?” As a supporter, you know this event is our largest event of the year. You know that this funding provides the resources that allow our students to “Thrive”. In response to calls on how to help, we are launching the “Help Us Thrive!” campaign.
Click here to find a comprehensive list of our funding priorities. This campaign provides opportunities to give at your comfort level, to give to a specific priority area, a specific item or to give to the General Fund. There is a way to give for everyone. We ask that you look through the many opportunities available to give. You can give by visiting https://sjamilwaukee.org/donate or by mailing a check and including the back page of the campaign booklet with your donation.
We need your help. With your help, we will ensure that our nearly 600 children “Thrive”. When you help a child “Thrive”, we all “Thrive”.
We are very blessed to have supporters like you on our side.
Together, we will overcome the challenges of this year! Stay safe and well!
