One hour after our initial message, the State of Wisconsin mandated school closures until at least April 6th. We will be closed until then. If the State’s mandate is extended, we will follow it. We will do our best to keep you informed as information becomes available.
Any SJA parent in needs of meals while the Academy is closed under the state mandate should contact our main office. Please call 414-645-5337 between 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Dear St. Joseph Academy Families,
As coronavirus continues to spread, I know that we all have growing concerns about the health and safety of our families. I share your concern. Please know that the health and well-being of our St. Joseph Academy (SJA) students, staff, families and community are of utmost importance to us. We, along with our state and nation, are closely monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19.
We are depending on the guidance of public health professionals who are the experts in protecting the community during disease outbreaks. The CDC recommends considering school closures for 2-4 weeks when there is potential for significant staff and student absenteeism and for effective decontamination.
We know that being closed for two weeks will be a heavy burden on families; however, for the sake of long-term health and safety of all of our families, we have decided that at this point, St. Joseph Academy’s ECEC, School and CLC will be closed the weeks of March 16th – 20th and March 23rd – 27th with the possibility of extension.
This is a difficult time and we are doing our very best with the information we have, at a time when information is changing quickly. Thank you for your patience and partnership as we work through this crisis together.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
For the Children,
Tabia N. Jones, Ed.D.
