St. Joseph Women’s Club

The story of St. Joseph Women’s Club, formerly the Ladies Aid Society, began on a May day in 1907. Shortly after ground was broken for the building of St. Joseph Orphanage, a group of women met and formed an organization whose role would be to help foster the care and upbringing of orphans and neglected children through fund raising events. These children would not only be clothed, fed and educated, but would grow up in a home-like and religious atmosphere. This goal could only to be reached if funds were made available. Plans were made to raise much-needed funds for classroom needs through charity events.

Since 1907 the St. Joseph Women’s Club has continued to hold fund raising events to raise money for the Early Childhood Education Center  of St. Joseph, an integral part of St. Joseph Academy.

Monthly meetings are usually held the 2nd Tuesday of the months of April thru June and September-December at 6:30 p.m. in the Academy. Meetings begin and end with prayer. A meeting could include planning for our Annual Fall Luncheon, Mass for deceased members, Christmas gathering, Lenten Evening of Reflection, May Tea or even a picnic. If you are interested in joining St. Joseph Women’s Club, please call one of the officers for additional information.
